5 months have passed already... I honestly can't remember life without my girl. We are continually amazed by her. She is such a huge blessing. She is soo animated and interactive lately. She watches your face and will smile back at you when you smile at her. A funny noise or a belly zurbert (sp?) haha always bring a giggle. She seems to be starting to teeth, she is always chomping on something, the blanket, my finger, he hand, a teethy ring pretty much anything she can get her hands on. She hasn't rolled over yet on her own, but I feel like it'll be any day and then she will be off haha. She bends and kicks and gets to her side but hasn't mastered the full roll yet. I'm not rushing it... stay tiny as long as you want baby girl :) She is eating up a storm. She has mastered eating off of a spoon and enjoys veggies everyday for lunch and cereal or fruit other times of the day most days. She hasn't met any veggies she doesn't like yet, but sweetpotatoes and green beans seem to be the favorites. She did seem to have an allergic reaction to bananas the one time we tried it, her face broke out really red! So we haven't tried it again yet. Maybe in a few weeks we'll do a bite and see if it was a false alarm. :) I hope so!
Ok that's all for now. I will try to remember to take a 5 month picture tonight and add it on. She is soo big :)

4 month shots :(
My sweet baby girl had to go have her 4month check up & shots this past Wednesday. She is technically almost 4.5 months, my big girl. Speaking of BIG GIRL haha... here are her stats from the appointment... She is 26.5 inchest long & 17lb 15oz. Needless to say for a 4 month old she is big (over 100th percentile), she is off the growth chart for height and weight. The shots were no fun as usual, but she is a trooper only cried for a few minutes then zonked out in the car on the way home. The doctor said all was well, she is doing great. She was having bad spit up issues for a while, but it's a million times better now that she is taking zantac to help keep the reflux down. We have started doing some solid foods. So far she is a fan of sweet potatoes haha... also the doc said she can have half & half apple juice or white grape juice.
Ok gotta run, my girl needs some attention here is a drooly picture to end the post :) haha!

long overdue post...
Hi all... I just wanted to give a quick update. So here are some quick tidbits about my big girl...
- She laughed out loud for real (like a big kid laugh) for the first time tonight while Bradley was blowing on her belly.
- She has such great control of her head and she loves "sitting up" where she can look around.
- I fear she is becoming a TV junkie... bad? educational? eh jury is still out. But it makes her kick her legs and smile huge so in small amounts I don't see the harm. She loooves Mickey's playhouse the best for sure! Dora & Handy Manny are tied for second haha.
- I love that we have such a great bedtime routine.... bath, splashes, bedtime lotion (thanks Christy.. ahh Baby Magic smells soo good), clean jammies, playtime, bottle then into bed she goes. Sometimes she is asleep, other times dozing and sometimes even wide awake when I put her in bed. We are so blessed our girl falls asleep on her own in her crib, what a blessing.
- I weighed her on our scale at home last night she weighs 16.3lbs. Big girl!!
- She still loves the swing (thanks again Christy haha!!)
- She made her first mini road trip last weekend to Mississippi to visit aunt Yo & Uncle Moose. She was perfect in the car... in fact on the way home she slept the whole trip home. 3.5 hours... good girl!
- A bib is a necessity at this point, she is drooling up a storm.
- She is drinking 6oz every 4 hours.
Bedtime now... I'll write again soon :)

poor neglected blog...
haha.. my poor blog is so neglected these days. Well Today my sweet baby girl is 12 weeks old. I guess from here on out I'll just say 3 months, 3 1/2 months, etc. It's so hard to quit counting time in weeks after doing it for the entire 40wk pregnancy haha.
Jocelyn is amazing, I know what parent doesn't think their new baby is amazing, but she really really is amazing!! She is the best baby. She of course has her fussy moments, but don't we all :) She has been sleeping through the night I mean all the way through the night since I started back to work. What great timing eh? Most week nights she has a bath, takes her "nighttime" bottle and is in bed asleep by 9:30 and I have to wake her up to take her to my parents house around 7:15am. Crazy huh? A couple short months ago I never thought I'd see the day when I would wake up before her haha! I am once again a well rested woman :)
Today on her 12wk birthday I can't help but to look back and think of how much she has changed in such a short amount of time. She has turned into quite the little sassy girl with lots of personality :) She loves bathtime she has learned she can splash... and boy does she. She wiggles back and forth and splashes all the water out of her little baby tub haha. Now if we could just figure out how to get her to not poop in there haha... (yes you saw correctly my baby is a bathtub pooper. eewww it has happened x 3 now, yuck!) She is full of smiles and eyebrow raises I can't hardly stand it! She is so great.
As an update for me.. physically great as far as post partum stuff goes. Have been healed and feeling fine for a while. That being said I started back on birth control and am hating it!!! I am finishing this pack and am not taking more. I have decided I'll just chart my cycles and pray that the Lord will keep things from happening until it's time, because the pill makes me feel like poo. Everynight I feel sick, I tried to wait to take it until I'm in bed and about to fall asleep and even then I still get the "gonna barf" feeling, ick! Also this past month of taking the pill I have gained 7 count them 7lbs! double yuck! Nothing fits and I feel hungry and bloated all the time just blah. So I'm done, I talked to Bradley about it and he agrees I should just not take it. So there we go :)
Ok I promise I'll update again soon with pictures, I'm slacking I know, it's been tough being back to work this makes 4 weeks. I am still taking pictures just not as many as before!! I'll definitely get back on track though soon :)

2 Month Doctor Visit
Today Jocelyn had her 2 month well baby check. She is such a good girl. She didn't fuss a bit when she got naked and weighed or when the doctor was checking her out. My big girl is weighing in at 13lbs 11.2oz and is 23.5inches long. That makes her 90th percentile of height and head circumference & 95th percentile for weight :) Dr.Lenga said "they don't come any more perfect than that"!! Yay. Before the doc came in Jocelyn was looking at herself in the mirror and being her usual smiley self!! It was all fun and games until the ladies with the shots came in :( boo my poor bug had to get 3 shots- 2 in her left leg & 1 in her right. Thank God she has all that chunk on her thighs now to help cushion!! I gave her tylenol about 30 minutes before she got her shots so I hope that helps her feel a little better this afternoon. She of course cried very big & loud but only for a few minutes. By the time we walked up front and got checked out she was sound asleep on my shoulder! My girl is a trooper.

ugh...
Why can't it just stay Sunday for a while longer... I don't want tomorrow to come. Maybe I'll just quit my job? Do we really need to pay rent? car note? have cable tv? buy groceries?
I know I'm not the first mom to ever have to go back to work after having a baby and certainly not the last. I also know I'm incredibly blessed to have my mom watching Jocelyn when I go back tomorrow, what a huge relief that is. Plus I was able to spend 8 incredible weeks at home with her, not everyone gets 8 weeks off. All that being said I'm selfish and 8 weeks is not enough. I want to be able to be with her all day like I have been the past 2 months. I want to lay on my bed and cuddle up, play peek a boo, listen to her little laugh, to see that big toothless smile, "watch" girly movies together on rainy days, go shopping together (my girl is a good shopper)... And as if this transition wasn't going to be difficult enough on it's own, she isn't feeling well right now. Stuffy nose & cough bless her heart!! Also she is still not sleeping through the night. At least when she goes to bed at 10-12 we are only up once so that's good. I just don't know how it is going to work I mean I'll survive but I'm sleepy/tired now and I get to go back to bed for a few hours after her early am feeding usally around 6am-7am. So it'll be a change for sure getting up during the night then getting myself ready & Jocelyn fed/ready and out the door around 7:15. Eek!
I'm trying to focus on some positives... I am so excited for and looking forward to this holiday season. Halloween will be here before we know it, very quickly followed by Thanksgiving then Christmas. I love Christmas, always have. I have my christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving if not before haha. I can't wait to prop Jocelyn up in front of the christmas tree and take pictures!!! Yay!
On a more positive note one good thing I can think of about going back to work tomorrow is that I'll quit eating all day long. Being at home all day is terrible for my diet. At work I get busy and if I don't eat during the lunch break time I might not get another minute to sit and eat... so that's good for me. Definitely keeps me on track.
Sorry this was a whiny post, I'm so blessed to have such an amazing baby girl, a wonderful husband, a great job, a fantastic "baby sitter" for while I work etc. Thank you Lord for all your blessings and I know you will be with me to help ease this transition time.
